Gathaithi PB

The Gathaithi Factory was first established in 1997 with the Gathaithi Farmers Cooperative Society being established in 2000. This connects over 1,600 Small Hold Farmers from the region allowing them access to superior facilities as well as resources on growing, ecology, and harvesting to empower its members and achieve a better coffee.
This program also pre-finances farmers which allows them to improve their agricultural practices, receive more training, and also for schooling or emergency funds. This allows the farmers to work towards a great quality which continues to reward the Cooperative and all its members.
The micro climate of the Tetu region is well renowned for producing incredible coffee quality due to its volcanic soil, altitude and cool average temperatures extending coffee cherry maturation. This pea berry (PB) lot is a classic example of what this region is famous for.
