Cimizhu Estate

Po ZHA founded Cimizhu Estate in 2009 after leaving his career in the banks in 2007. He returned to his hometown in Lisuo where he found the ideal sight for the Estate. At first, Po ZHA tried to promote coffee cultivation around the village, but initially the result was not as he hoped. As the farmers in  their area didn’t have experience with growing or processing coffee. But Po ZHA didn’t give up, with his continuous efforts, the farmers gradually engaged in the coffee producing industry and began to plant more coffee trees. Cimizhy Estate pays for the coffee cherries based on the quality, and also offers rewards for high-quality farms with higher prices, which in turn make Cimizhu Estate renowned for producing specialty coffee lots. In 2014, Cimizhu Estate planted an area of 719 acres which now produces 580 tons of coffee cherries a year. At the same time, Cimizhu Estate provides training to the nearby farmers to improve their knowledge of coffee pruning, cultivation and harvesting. As well as providing knowledge to encourage local farms to plant optimal varieties in order to improve the yield and quality of the coffee they are growing. Po ZHA's wish is to lead the farmers to embark on the coffee industry to change the status quo and improve the living conditions of the village, and have a life of happiness and prosperity.

Through Cimizhu Estate’s constant improvement in processing methods and knowledge sharing they were awarded the 2nd Prize (Unwashed category) in the Best of Yunnan Green Coffee Competition in 2022.
